About the author:
After growing up in South Berwick, ME and graduating from the University of New England with an animal behavior degree, Jillian Morris travelled around the world working on various shark research projects. Combining her passion for photography with her science background, Jillian has written, filmed and photographed for multiple magazines and television channels.
In 2012 Jillian founded Sharks4Kids in order to create a new generation of shark advocates through access to a dynamic range of educational materials. "Sharks play a critical role in the delicate balance of ocean ecosystems. Yet despite their importance, shark populations are being decimated globally. The rapid decline in populations teamed with the man-eating monster stereotypes sharks have garnered over the years, have left sharks fighting for their survival." In the short time that Sharks4Kids has existed, Jillian and her team have connected with over 60,000 students in 44 countries and 48 US States through our in person visits, Skype Lessons and Google Hangouts!
